Alien invasion by bus

Found this at a bus stop in Saint Paul. I think this means that aliens are invading the Twin Cities using the bus system.

The good news is they'll only be able to take over downtown and the Mall of America. And they'll be ten minutes late, so that should give us plenty of time to prepare.

Does anybody else find this disturbing?

I like M&M's as much as the next girl - but I'm kind of wondering if anyone else is disturbed by the idea of pulling M&M's from the 'flesh' of an M&M character?

A Ghostly Tale

This has been a hard couple of years for small businesses. I've started collecting what a friend of mind calls 'ghost signs' - signs belonging to businesses that no longer exist. This first ghost sign is from a lovely former used bookstore in Dinkytown. Inside the store there was a bird that greeted you, a cat that purred at your feet and a very friendly but laid-back dog. And they all seemed to get along just fine.
